Child Care Health Consultant The goal of this activity is to improve the health and safety of children age 0-5 who attend a regulated early childhood program in Yadkin County. A Child Care Health Consultant will be employed to look at all areas of health and safety in the child care environment: review of health records, health policies and procedures, developmentally appropriate practices, sanitation, playground safety, special health needs, nutrition, control of communicable diseases, oral health (with the help of the local county dental hygienist), screenings as needed, and assist providers to attain health related child care licensing requirements.
